PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Are you trying to find a fun way to practice procedural writing in your classroom? Well look no further! This Halloween themed activity is a great way to support writing in any elementary classroom. All you need is this download and the book Piggie Pie, by Margie Palatini.

After reading Piggie Pie aloud to the class, have each student or small group of students create a recipe for the classes very own Old Hag Cookbook. After all recipes are created, they can be compiled into a class book (I usually make copies of the recipes, bind them, and give a copy to each student).

Included in this download:
-Recipe Template (use the box to illustrate each recipe)
-Old Hag Cookbook Cover Page Template (speech bubbles can be used to illustrate some of the ingredients used)
