Before engaging a staff in a new initiative, schools leaders should make sure that everyone is compliant, together, with the basic implementation protocols and guidelines. This also means acknowledging the need to be compliant with district vision and aligning outcomes to the district vision given the district's compliance realities.
Approaching compliance as a group allows for equal accountability, and it also allows the potential for everyone to experience a change in a networked group at the same time. Thus, the structure offers a process with which to initiate a change so that each stakeholder is involved. Once all stakeholders are involved, the school leader can look continuous improvement.
