PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

As I found my student struggling with the Processing assignments for the History Alive curriculum, I decided to re-create them in more a more student-friendly, engaging way. When you use these you will be able to assess your students on the content they know, not their understanding of the directions. You could also use these to differentiate instruction in your classrooms, giving students that need less structure the original History Alive! Processing assignments and students that need more direction this assignment (though all my students benefited from this). Please note that these assignments do go directly with the History Alive! textbook, but you could modify them to use with your own textbook. But if you can, you should try to get History Alive! since it is the best thing ever! Print and enjoy!

In this assessment, students draw and label a diagram with the features of a Sumerian city-state and describe how these features solved geographic problems faced by the Sumerians to answer the question "How did geographic challenges lead to the rise of Sumerian city-states?"
