Product Description

Using Carrie Underwood's song, Champion, I created a professional development for teachers, faculty, or any stakeholder essentially, that encourages your audience to reflect upon the practices of a Champion. How can any stakeholder be a champion for students? Listening to the lyrics of the song, conducting several reflection activities, and responding to the Champion video, stakeholders can then apply this lesson in their classroom with their students. Students are asked to think about what it means to be a champion, how can they rise to the occasion and become a champion of school, home, relationships with their friends, the discussion topics are endless.

The Essential Question for the Professional Development activity: Essential Question: How can I continue to challenge my students with increased rigor while building relationships and making personal connections?
