Here is a game to use with your programmable robots! I used this Pumpkin Picking Game in the Fall to introduce coding and programmable robots to my students in the Media Center. We use the Bee-Bot (TM) Programmable Floor Robots with the two transparent grids that come in the Bee-Bot Starter Kit. But, you can modify this game to meet the needs of your programmable robot.
My Kinder, 1st and 2nd graders have LOVED these new themed games in the Bee-Bot center!
This game is played in a series of rounds with two to four players. The goal of the game is to program the robot so that it lands on a pumpkin. When it does, the player earns a Pumpkin Point Card. An Advanced Version can be played with the cornstalk obstacle card. The students must program their bots to avoid the cornstalks when programming their sequence! The player with the most Pumpkin Points at the end wins the game.
I've found that printing the mat cards on regular paper to put under the mat is best. But, the Honeycomb Point cards are easier to handle if printed on cardstock.
This product includes:
1. Game Directions
2. Pumpkin Mat Cards to place under the transparent grid
3. Cornstalk Obstacle Cards to place under the transparent grid
4. Pumpkin Point cards
5. Wagon for each player to put his Pumpkin Points in.
6. Characters to choose from to hold their wagons.
