This product is a progress monitoring tool for students learning their vowel sounds and reading one syllable CVC words. Students are asked to provide all 10 vowel sounds, read 10 real CVC words, and 5 nonsense CVC words. Students are also asked to read CVC words in the context of a few simple sentences. An overall percentage can be calculated, as well as delving deeper into the assessment. Use the first assessment in the document as the baseline and the post-test.
