Goal: Student will use a counting strategy to correctly count objects.
Goal: Student will represent a group of items with a number.
Goal: Student will use an addition strategy, such as count all or count on, when adding two numbers.
Intervention lessons should focus on conceptual understanding of the mathematical concept. Instruction should be scaffold and connect to the students’ prior knowledge.
Progress monitor each student according to the group or individual plan. Use the results to guide further instruction.
