This progress report is a great way to let parents know how their child is doing in the classroom. Report cards just aren't enough, so I always send this progress report home around mid-semester so that the parents can see specifically what their child's strengths and weaknesses are. I always have the parents sign and return, I make a copy and then I send it back to the parents to keep for their records. This is also a great way to have parent/teacher communication. Sometimes parents feel more comfortable wriitng down their concerns, rather than voicing them over the phone or face to face.
