This elementary school counseling game uses football as a tool to teach the ideas of progress and goal setting.
When playing Progress...Not Perfection, students will move slowly up the field to score a goal. The game die is purposely made with low numbers allowing students to practice patience. Each number on the die also has a picture prompt asking students to say a goal in the area of school, friendships or home.
As I played this game with my students, I was amazed when I realized how many of them could not explain the idea of progress. What an important concept for every student to understand!
