Product Description
Introduce students to the progressive movement by going over the background information including the populist and grange movements and the key progressive presidents. After the introduction students are provided with a variety of documents that go over the muckraker's goals, an excerpt from a muckraker, an excerpt from the Clayton Anti-Trust Act, a local law, a chart on child labor, and a quote from Woodrow Wilson. Students use these documents to determine if the progressives were able to successfully impact the power of monopolies through government regulation during the early 1900s.
