Roaring 20s, 1930s, Great Depression Bundle! 8 Fun Resources for the 20s & 30s!
In this highly-engaging and informative webquest, students navigate through six different QR codes (or clickable links) to understand the rise of prohibition, the passage of the 18th amendment, the 21st amendment, and the rise of organized crime. Students learn why prohibition was needed, how it was enforced, the meaning and creation of bootlegging, how several unintended consequences developed as a result of prohibition, the rise and role of Al Capone, and the subsequent passage of the 21st amendment.
Two versions of webquest are included (one with QR codes and another with clickable links) and students complete a final writing prompt to assess learning once they have finished. Students will answer the overarching question, "How did Prohibition lead to the rise of Organized Crime?"
A full key is also included!
