This is a project where the students need to plan, budget, create, and design a donut shop. Put students in partners or groups to have them work together to create their shop. They have $50,000 to spend and must convince their investors that their shop will be successful. This project includes area and perimeter, adding and subtracting large numbers with decimals, multiplying with decimals, and fractions. There are opportunities to extend or modify the project to fit all of your students' needs.
