Product Description
Metric conversions can be such a dry topic to teach. Why not sprinkle in a little fun?

This project gives students an opportunity to plan out the opening of a brand new bakery. They will have to shop for ingredients sold in different measurements, then convert those measurements so they can store them properly. Finally, students will open up shop and calculate how much of each ingredient has been used up and how much they have left!

Skills assessed include:
-metric conversions (grams, milligrams, etc.)
-using fractions and mixed numbers
-finding a fraction of a whole number
-whole number division using place value (for example, dividing by 100)


This project has fewer pages, but don't be fooled! There is plenty of calculation to keep your students both busy and entertained!
