Students will create cartoon characters that represent the following steps in the scientific method: Asking Questions, Background Research, Conducting the Experiment, Collecting/Analyzing Data, Drawing Conclusions, Sharing Results. Your characters appearance (including clothing, gizmos/gadgets, tools, shoes, hats, etc.) should help readers understand what each step in the scientific method is all about.
Then, students will write and illustrate a comic strip in which their characters will star. They can choose from one of three story lines.
