Project Based Learning with Linear Equations – iLogo Mastery Project
This project targets the mastery of linear equations. Students create a logo that represents them. The logo must be wholly original, made up of at least 8 straight lines of varying slopes. At least one line must have a positive slope, one line must have a negative slope, one line must have a zero slope and one line must be undefined. At least one line must be in each of the four quadrants.
This project contains four basic parts: the graph of the logo, calculations of the slope of the eight required lines, the finished logo and the story explaining how the logo represents them. These four parts are presented on a poster.
The following downloads are included with this unit:
- Teacher Instructions
- Printable Student Instructions
- Printable 2 sided slope worksheet
- Printable Rubric
- 5 photos of student work (A picture is worth a thousand words.)
