I am very excited to present to you my new time capsule project, "Project Chronos"!

I was recently inspired by a podcast about a time capsule and decide to create a project where students fabricate replica artifacts for a faux time capsule from an era you are studying. This project includes research and development of student skills from comprehension through creation. This project includes an expository writing and creative artistic portion. This project includes a presentation to explain directions and expectations to your students. It also includes a grading rubric which you can print for your students.

  • This project can be summative or PBL project Based Learning.
  • This project offers lots of opportunity for cross curricular collaboration, which I detail.
  •  This project includes a rubric that explains the expectations.

You should include some type of hook when introducing this project including a capsule or chest of some sort to collect your students artifacts in and hopefully an example artifact that you have purchased or created.
