This is a rubric that can be used when students are working in groups on projects. Being able to work collaboratively with other students is a skill that we want students to learn. This rubric tells students what you as the teacher will be looking for as they are working with their group and contributing to the project at hand.
I've included an editable (excel) .xls rubric and a pdf version. The editable version is nice for including the project name and the teacher name as well as changing the point value for any of the different categories. You may also change or modify any of the categories or descriptions to meet the needs of your project! If you'd like, once you've modified the excel rubric, you can click on “export” under the “file” drop down menu and covert it into your own specific pdf.
The categories listed above are problem solving, contributions, attitude, focus on task, and working with others. This rubric specifies what is required to receive a score of 4, 3, 2, and 1. A larger view of just the editable version is shown below (so that you can see the specifics listed for each category). I hope that you will find this rubric helpful with your students!
NOTE: THIS FILE COMES AS A .ZIP WHEN YOU OPEN THIS, IT WILL SHOW YOU THE 2 FILES .... ONE IS THE EDITABLE RUBRIC AND THE OTHER IS A PDF
