Product Description
This engaging project is a wonderful way to introduce students to the geography, climate, flora and fauna, governments, and cultures of Africa.

The first step for students is to complete the "ABC's Africa." Here, students will use the graphic organizer provided to write down three (3) words that pertain to Africa for each letter of the alphabet (Q and X excepted).

Students will then use this graphic organizer to create a booklet. Each page in the booklet will include a letter of the alphabet (in order), a sentence that includes a word starting with that letter (based on the graphic organizer), and a picture illustrating the word chosen.

I have designed this project so that students can work in groups of 3; that number, however, can be adjusted as needed.

The project also includes a PowerPoint presentation by which the instructor can either introduce or review different features of Africa. Instructors can add or subtract pictures as needed. The final slides of the presentation provide examples of what completed booklet pages should resemble.

The graphic organizer and project guidelines are saved using Word 97-2003. This will allow for any adjustments to points available, due dates, etc.
