This project has been highly successful in both 10th and 11th grade English classes. It can be customized for any grade level in high school and even modified for middle school. Students love the freedom to choose their topic and the creative process involved in making the PSA and sharing it with their peers.
My students have, among others, chosen to accentuate these issues of importance:
*What it's like to live with a disease
*Respect for Police
*Respect for Firefighters
*Disabilities (deafness, learning disabilities, blindness) awareness
and so much more! The possibilities are endless when student choice and voice is offered.
