Description

The Projectile Motion Project 3 is a useful Windows application. It is a highly motivating activity designed for Honors and AP Physics 1 high school physics students. The students will learn to calculate the following about projectiles:

Time to Reach the peak

Total Time the projectile remains in flight

Range

Maximum Height

While the projectile is in flight, for each every five-second the following values also will be calculated:

Height

Range

Horizontal Velocity

Vertical Velocity

Linear Velocity

Linear Acceleration

Angle of Inclination

There are three good things about this product. First, a tutorial that explain the detailed mathematical and graphical solution of this problem is provided. Second, the students will be highly motivated while they work for about two hours to complete their projects. And third, with this application, the teacher will be able to type the data (names and ID numbers) in a text file for an entire class in about 5 minutes, and then print all the Answer Keys in seconds in another text file. The computer generates specific data for each student.

During this activity, the students need to have scientific calculators, rulers, protractors, and graph paper to practice graphing. They will do the graph Height vs. Time.

It takes just a few minutes to learn to use this useful application. Simply place the Zip file in any folder or subfolder you want. Right click the mouse and select Extract all the files. The subfolder Projectile Motion Project 3 is created. From inside the subfolder, just select the file Projectile Motion 3 and you are ready to start. It is that simple. If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them as soon as possible. Again, this program is for computers using Windows 10 or newer.
