In this Promethean ActivInspire activity, students are presented with three pictures. They must determine the sound that is common to all three words pictured; each word in the group either begins with the same sound or ends with the same sound. This is a phoneme identity activity (phonemic awareness). All answers are consonants. One digraph (sh) is included for a challenge. A hidden reveal feature is included to show the answer letter (or letters in the case of the digraph). This activity was designed for a minilesson, guided practice, or literacy center.
A complete lesson plan is embedded in the flipchart.
