Product Description
Need to engage your young readers in meaningful discussions before and after reading NON-FICTION TEXTS? Use these fun, interactive Talking About Texts Prompts to spark discussion with your students, to build oral language and speaking and listening skills, and to dive deeper into texts, building comprehension. These are perfect to use in small group discussions after a whole class read aloud or shared reading, during the Daily 5 Read to Someone / buddy reading or with Book Clubs and Literature Circles. Prompts are color coded - green for before reading and red for after reading - and contain visuals to help students be independent. The prompts are designed to be put together like a puzzle after each question is discussed. These puzzle prompts will be sure to get your students actively talking about the books they read!
