PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a 52 page booklet of various handouts and worksheets that provide practice with Spanish direct object pronouns.
Pages 1-3 give examples of direct object pronouns and their placement.
Pages 4-6 are gap fill exercises. Example: ¿Ves tú a Sonia? Sí la veo.
Page 7 asks the student to create questions. Example: Yo no conozco a esos chicos. ¿Tú los conoces?
Page 8 asks the student to create dialogs with a companion concerning where to buy certain foods. Example: ¿Compras pan en la panadería? Sí, lo compro en la panadería.
Page 9 is similar to page 8, but it asks the student to write the answers about where they buy things.
Pages 10 and 11 ask the student to create dialogues with a companion about what a store clerk sells at either Home Depot or Sephora. Example: ¿Vende alicates? Sí, los vendo. ¿Vende polvo compacto? Sí, lo vendo.
Page 12 asks the student to re-write sentences replacing nouns with pronouns. Example: Conozco al alcalde. Lo conozco.
Page 13 asks the student to unscramble the direct object of a sentence, and then replace it with a pronoun. Example: ¿Tienes le áilpz? ¿ Tienes el lápiz? Si, lo tengo.
Page 14 asks the student to create dialogues with a companion. The subject is asking for sewing supplies. Example: ¿Oye, quién tiene mi dedal? Yo lo tengo. ¿Lo quieres? Sí, lo quiero.
Page 15 gives an example of the placement of the direct object pronoun with the infinitive.
Pages 16-21 give practice writing answers to questions using an infinitive and a direct object pronoun. Example: ¿Vas a invitar a Carmen a la fiesta? Sí, voy a inivtarla.
Page 22 asks the student to create dialogues with a companion regarding table games. Example: ¿Quieres jugar al monopolio? Sií, quiero jugarlo.
Page 23 give an example of direct object pronoun placement with gerunds.
Pages 24-25 ask the student to re-write sentences replacing direct objects with pronouns. Example: Manuel bebe el jugo. Manuel lo bebe.
Page 26 is a multiple choice exercise where the student chooses the correct form of the gerund and direct object pronoun.
Page 27 asks the student to create dialogues with a companion regarding novels. Example: ¿Has leído la novela titulada Cien años de soledad? Yo estoy leyéndola ahora. ¿Quién la escribió? Gabriel García Marquez.
Pages 28-29 give examples of pronoun placement with commands.
Pages 30-31 are gap fill exercises. Example: La ventana está cerrada. Quiero abrirla. Sí, ábrala usted. Hace calor.
Pages 32-35 ask the student to write commands with direct object pronouns. The subject is a messy house. Example: ¿Barro el piso? Sí, bárralo.
Pages 36-47 give more written practice using commands and direct object pronouns. The subject is cooking. Example: ¿Hago la ensalada? Sí, hazla. No, no la hagas.
Page 48 gives other examples of when to use the direct object pronoun. There is an example if when it is used to make clear to whom one is referring (La semana pasada las vi a Marta y Teresa en la iglesia.) The next example is to show emphasis (Veo a Pepe pero Pepe no me veo a mí.) The last example is to show contrast. (María ama a Javi pero Javi no la ama a María.
Pages 50-52 are the answer key. The photo and clip art credits are on page 52.
