Make reviewing pronouns FUN with this game! Students will match eleven basic pronouns with their singular or plural pronoun corresponding card. Three playing choices.
Print the cards on card stock for best results so you can not see through the paper. Laminate for better durability and cut apart.
Another option is to duplicate only the pronoun cards and play the memory game with those.
Version One: This game is best played with two students. Students lay out all the cards upside down and turn over two at a time. If a match is made, the student keeps the pair and takes another turn. When the player does not make a match it is the next player's turn. Play ends when all the cards are matched. Students then record what they matched on the provided sheets.
There are two recording sheets included for the students to record the matches they made and turn in to the teacher for feedback. One sheet is for recording the pronoun name and singular or plural. The other sheet is to record the pronoun and a picture to aid in memory of the pronoun and its meaning.
Version Two: Two students can also deal 4 cards to each player and ask for the corresponding matching card. They would ask for the singular or plural pronoun card or ask for one of the eleven pronouns used in the game to make a match.
Version Three: Students can play alone and lay out the eleven pronoun cards and lay the matching singular or plural card next to it. Then the student can ask the teacher to check or fill out the recording sheet.
