A fun way to introduce or review types of pronouns, antecedents of pronouns, and common pronoun errors. It's a great activity for test prep and review, holidays, the last day or week of school, or other filler days.
I usually hate "test prep." But let's be honest: we all want to review a bit before sending our students into spring state tests to make sure they can do their best. "Pronoun Ninjas" is a fun, interactive way for students to review pronoun rules. In the game, students will play in teams to find pronoun errors, identify the antecedent of a pronoun, and identifying types of pronouns including the following:
* Subject Pronouns
* Object Pronouns
* Indefinite Pronouns
* Demonstrative Pronouns
* Relative Pronouns
* Reflexive Pronouns
"Pronoun Ninjas" is intended to be used as a competitive game show, but it could also be used for a fun full-class activity or done with partners.
This PowerPoint game has over forty possible questions, complete with hundreds of fun, interactive animations, sound clips, and navigation buttons. NOTE that there is one font you will need to install to get the game to look like the preview pictures, which only takes a few seconds. Also, there is an odd glitch with PowerPoint 2010 that will make a few of the menu animations malfunction occasionally. But that will not prevent the game play from working the way it should.
This game is just one in a series of fun test-prep review games. Check out the others:
