Work on he, she, they, his, her, and their pronouns as people get on a train.
Have the child pick out a “window” and have them tell you who is going on the train (subject pronouns). E.g. "He is going on the train." Sentence strips are available if needed. You can play ticket agent have them give out tickets (possessive pronouns). E.g. "He has his ticket."
You can choose how many passenger cars to use tomake the activity longer or shorter. As well there are more passengers than seats. Have the children talk about what the left over passengers should do. Also talk about where the people on the train are going.
