Description
This Pronouns Slide Presentation includes the PowerPoint and an Easel version which provide an overview, or a good review, of types of pronouns, their uses, and tricky pronoun situations that students in middle school and upper elementary grades need to master.
The presentation provides a clear explanation of each concept with text and graphics designed for middle school and upper elementary students. Here are the topics that are addressed in the presentation:
- Subject and Object Pronouns
- Possessive Pronouns
- Intensive and Reflexive Pronouns
- Relative Pronouns
- Pronouns and Antecedents
- Pronoun / Antecedent Agreement
Slides with review and practice questions for students to respond to are included to increase student engagement. The answers to each of these slides are provided on the slide immediately following.
The Easel Activity is ready to use with answer boxes and directions already in place for student use. Answer slides have been removed from the Easel version as well.
Also included with the presentation is a student note sheet for the students to complete while they view the slides. A completed version is also included for students who might need that option.
This Pronoun Slide Presentation support Common Core Standards for Language by addressing specific pronoun situations outlined in the standards, including the use of relative pronouns, the uses if intensive and reflexive pronouns, pronoun / antecedent agreement, and correcting vague pronoun references.
