Do you have little ones who are just learning to use correct personal pronouns and is/are verb+ing?
These cards were designed to be simple and direct for kids who are just learning to use correct personal pronouns and is/are verb+ing. The pronouns are color-coded to provide additional support and cuing.
Laminate and cut cards in half on dotted lines. You can teach each pronoun individually, then combine them as the students become more proficient. I routinely remind kids that if it’s a girl, use “she”, if it’s a boy, use “he”, and if there is more than one person, use “they”. I usually start with modeling by pointing and labeling each square, then asking the student to do and say just what I did. As they become more proficient, the modeling will no longer be necessary, and the student will be able to generate the sentences spontaneously either with or without pointing.
Laminate and cut (on dotted lines) the open-ended he, she, and they cards. Cut the verb cards individually. You can put a different verb card on the same mat for each teaching trial. This saves on paper and ink as well.
