This packet contains fun, engaging activities with real pictures that may be used to help early childhood and kindergarten students practice using pronouns (he, she, they), verbs and basic concepts (top, bottom, between, on, beside, in, middle, big, little, near, far, up, down, in front, in back, behind, above, below), responding to who, what, where, and why questions, as well as vocabulary to participate in outdoor activities.
There are two versions (2 PDFs) included in this product. The versions are identical except one version includes clip art of one puppy on each page for teaching basic concepts. The other version does not include the puppy clip art.
These photo scenes could also be used for a variety of purposes such as asking and answering questions, conversation starters for students working on carry over of skills in articulation and fluency, sentence formulation and expansion, eliciting a language sample, etc.
Suggested Activities - No Print No Prep or Copy and Laminate
Ask the question, “What is happening?” If needed, model the correct sentence pointing to the cue shapes at the bottom of the page.
2. Ask the question, Where is the dog?
Talk about where the dog is using the targeted concepts.
3. 2 Token Boards – Practice targeted skills. Use magnetic tokens or other objects as rewards or print and
use bingo dot markers for reward.
2 sets of 16 cards that may be used as task cards or playing cards (one set is 3.5” x 2.5” and the other set is 2.5” x 2”) . Make 2 copies for matching games.
If needed, Visuals are provided to teach the pronouns he, she and they. Also, a sentence strip is included for eliciting sentences.
