Use these versatile language picture cards to target subjective pronouns, action words, and sentence formation.
You may use them however you like. Here is one suggestion in order to target all of the above:
Ask the child “What is the boy/girl doing?” in order to elicit (a) subjective pronoun “he,” “she,” or “they;” (b) auxiliary be + –ing verb ending; (c) correct syntax. The child’s answer should be “He/she/they is/are verb+ing.”
It is also possible to target only pronouns or only actions by rewording your question in order to elicit what you specifically want to target. For example, to target pronouns only, you can ask “Who is riding a scooter?” To target receptive skills only, ask the child to point to “she is riding a scooter.”
