This pronunciation drill is to be done one-on-one, either between two students, or with the teacher and a student.
On the first page, the student completing the speaking drill will read over each pair of words beforehand, and choose which word they will say. In other words, they will only say one word from each of the pairs. Have them circle the word they will say in advance.
Once all of their choices have been made, the student will say one word. The teacher or other student will have the same list of paired words. They will circle the word that they hear the student say from each of the pairs.
At the end of the drill, the two can compare lists to see which words have been properly pronounced and which were misunderstood. Alternatively, the teacher can collect the student's version to see which words they chose, and compare it to what they heard, and give them a score. There is also a place to leave feedback or comments.
