Description

Proofreading Task Cards - Digital Resource for Google Slides - thirty digital task cards, or slides - all about proofreading, or editing. This resource gives students practice correcting common types of writing errors including:

punctuation

capitalization

grammar

run-on sentences

homophones

and spelling

This resource includes both the digital slides with one task card per slide and a PDF version with two cards per page for printing. The answer key will be found in the PDF, and there is also a list of suggestions for ways to use task cards and a list of ways to differentiate for students of differing abilities.

Each card provides a short assignment, most with three to four questions or sentences for students to proofread which is a great length for independent or group work. Or choose a few cards at a time for quick assessments. A few of the cards contain longer passages for the students to proofread.

This Google Slides version of the task cards is ready for student use with text boxes or movable pieces already in place for student responses.

The text in this resource is not editable.

These digital task cards are designed specifically for middle grade kids with more content per card than many task cards – perfect for older kids who can handle more than one quick question per card.

For the Easel Version see Proofreading Task Cards.

This resource addresses Common Core writing standards; it provides practice with the revising, editing, or rewriting step of the writing process.
