This was really a big hit with my students last year. Students will team up with a "campaign manager," and create a campaign video to be school president. Students will first generate a list of concerns about the school with their campaign manager, and how they expect to make changes. Unknowingly, students will then have to give their opponent their ideas, so their opponent can use some of their "ideas" against them as gentle bantering. Students must use and discuss uses of propaganda in their video. Most of my students created :30 videos and a rubric is provided.
