Techniques include slogan, repetition, bandwagon, testimonial, emotional appeal, expert opinion, card stacking, name calling, and glittering generalities.
Use these cards for students to match the word, definition, and then four examples of each persuasive/propaganda technique. Cards are arranged in order, so no answer key is given.
Use as a teaching tool in small group to introduce the technique, then the definition and model one example. After doing this, allow students to take the remaining examples and sort them into the correct categories.
