This is an activity where students read nouns and sort them into their correct category- proper or common nouns. Students practice reading words and identifying the type of the noun the word is either common or proper. The cards have pictures on them which is great for your non readers or help figure out an unknown word. Students can stack the cards in a pile and take turns drawing on and then sort it on the correct sorting mat. This activity can be self checking by writing the correct answer on the back of the card. Print this activity on card stock, laminate for durability and have students start practicing. This is a great activity for a learning station working with words and for grammar practice. Great for Kindergarten or first graders. This activity comes with one worksheet which can be used for additional practice or assessment where students have to cut out the word and paste it under common noun or proper noun.
