This is a game that teaches/reviews the different types of real numbers and some of their properties. It is a 4x4 puzzle that plays almost like dominos in that you find the property on one card, and an example of that propoerty on another card. It took my 8th grade students about 30 minutes to solve and glue on to another piece of paper to hang in our classroom. You could also laminate the squares to use year after year. The types of numbers covered include: real, imaginary, rational, irrational, integers, whole numbers, and natural numbers. The properties covered include: commutative properties of addition and multiplication, associative properties of addition and multiplication, distributive property, additive inverses, multiplicative inverses, additive identity, multiplicative identity, subtraction property of equality, addition property of equality, multiplication property of equality, and division property of equality.
This download includes a teacher solution guide and a student scrambled version for them to cut out and put back together correctly. The clip art allows for quick checking of students' work. Enjoy!
