This activity will have your students using critical thinking skills as they look for three examples and one non-example within a circle of a particular property type. They will be required to identify and write the shared property within each circle as well as find the non-example. Activity includes Commutative, Associative, Distributive, and Identity Properties.
This activity meets or exceeds the Common Core Standards of Mathematics in grade 3. It addresses Common Core standard 3.OA.5, but is also relevant in grades 4 and up.
