This is the thirteenth lesson in my Place Value unit. It is designed to take the class through the vocabulary and examples of the identity, commutative, associative, and distributive properties. After the introductory slides, the lesson then moves to interactive activities to check for the students understanding of the concept. There are fun examples of each property that the students then can create their own ideas for each property. All of the boxes are designed to be moved for individual students to come up to the board to discuss their answers and explain their reasoning. There are many practice slides for multiple students to be in charge of proving their understanding, making this lesson interactive for every student in the class.
