Properties of Parallelograms Cut and Paste Puzzle
This cut-out puzzle was created to help students practice identifying and applying the properties of parallelograms to solve for sides and angles. Several problems require that students solve a multi-step equation. Properties included: opposite sides are congruent, opposite sides are parallel, diagonals bisect each other, opposite angles are congruent, consecutive angles are supplementary. Some more challenging problems are included. This activity was created for a high school level geometry class.
Students solve each problem, then cut out the squares and rearrange so the edges meet and paste onto a template. A template to paste the solution and answer key included. The box letters make it easy for students to organize their work AND make it easier to grade!
