NOTE: I have TWO versions of this lab on my TPT Page. This version includes an additional station for OSMOSIS (hypertonic, hypotonic, isotonic), as some curriculums teach cells prior to water properties.
This is a lab affectionately titled, "Water World." This lab consists of 10 different stations that require students to observe, identify, and explain the various properties of water, including adhesion, cohesion, surface tension, high specific heat, diffusion, osmosis and more!
This lab also has a vocabulary worksheet, that I use as a "pre-lab" for my students to complete the day before our station lab. This allows my students to familiarize themselves with key vocabulary terms prior to beginning our activity!
I have included an equipment list/set-up key for each station and a key with suggested answers for each station. Please note, I do have my students use their textbooks to support their answers. If your textbook is different than the one I use (which I'm sure it is), the page numbers will differ from station to station - other than that, this lab is awesome and very easy to adapt to the properties you need!
This download is saved in a WORD format, so that it can be edited to fit the needs of your students and specific curriculum points you use in your classroom! Enjoy!
