This is a step by step slideshow on how to position the basic parts of the human figure. Using simple lines and shapes, teacher can show students how tall the average human is, and how we can accurately draw the average person in proper proportion.
Lines and shapes are all it takes.
Some students may need a ruler, but I have found that some wish to do this freehand.
I have done this project with 4th grade all the way through 12th grade and it has worked successfully.
NOTE: This does not focus on facial features or bone structure of the human hands and feet. It is simple lines representing bones and shapes for muscles (legs and arms).
