In this activity, students will create a proportional relationship, then represent the relationship with a table and a graph.
Students will walk a pre-determined distance and time their rate. They will then translate this information into a unit rate and list data in a table. They will also graph their data on a coordinate plane and determine if their relationship is proportional. This activity incoporates hands-on activity and critical thinking and writing skills in the follow up worksheet.
