This mini-bundle includes four products that are also available for individual purchase. The combined value is worth $8.
Proportional Relationships Task Cards
This product includes twenty task cards divided into five stations about proportional reasoning. The stations include four questions on each of the following: graphs, tables, verbal descriptions, equations and ratios. Students are asked to explain how they know if a proportional relationship exits in a graph, table, and a verbal description. Students are also asked to calculate the constant of proportionality and to identify it in a table, graph and equation.
Proportional Relationships Worksheets (Table, Graph, Equation)
This product includes a problem in which students determine the unit rate, independent and dependent variables in order to create a table, graph and equation. Eight additional questions address the constant of proportionality (in a table, graph, equation and verbal description), equivalent ratios and proportional relationships.
An additional problem has students examine two gym memberships. Students create a table, graph and an equation for both memberships. Follow-up questions are asked in order for students to explore whether or not the memberships represent a proportional relationship. A two question exit slip is also provided.
Proportional Relationship Worksheet
This product has students examine the relationship between the independent variable (x) and dependent variable (y). Students will explore the constant of proportionality (k). The two page worksheet has students calculate the constant of proportionality, write an equation and determine the missing values in the table. The second part of the worksheet asks students to find the missing values in a table if they are provided the constant of proportionality. Students are also asked to explain how they would know if two variables are proportional and how they would know two variables are not proportional in a table.
Proportional Relationship Quiz – 8 questions
This product includes an editable quiz on the 7.RP.2 Common Core Standards. Students are asked to explain their thinking and to provide work to support their answers. The questions cover independent and dependent variables, constant of proportionality, and proportional relationships that exist in a table, graph, equation and a verbal description. There are eight total questions worth ten points.
