Assess your students' understanding of psychoanalysis (whether in a psychology course or a literature course that is studying psychoanalysis criticism) with these psychoanalysis quiz strips. Before students are allowed to enter the classroom, they must take one of the strips of paper and answer the question to gain admittance to the class. Students who did not complete the homework and are unable to answer the question, for example, would be unable to enter and would have to spend the class working in the hallway to complete the work. Students who answer the question correctly may enter and participate in the day's lesson--which requires them to apply their knowledge of psychoanalysis. This activity is a quick way to gauge who did the homework as well as how well each student understood the material. It is also a more fun, creative alternative to a traditional popquiz. Gotta keep your students on their toes! Activity is in an editable word document.
