PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a great lab because the students are almost always shocked how much violence is in the movies we watch. The fact that we are shocked shows that we are inured to violence to a degree that we are completely unaware.

Here we have two versions of the same activity. In one activity the students count the deaths in one movie and in the other they count the deaths in 2 movies.

Choose an action movie that you are allowed to watch. Count the on screen deaths for the entire movie. Under no circumstances are you to watch a movie that your parents would not allow. If all your parents will allow is Spy Kids, then use Spy Kids.

You could use this with Observational Learning or Social Psychology.
