Students will apply their understanding of the varied states of consciousness to their own lives in order to affect a change. Once their baseline is taken and their goal is set, students will attempt to mindfully alter their states of consciousness for 6 days in order to reach their goal.
Resource includes a baseline survey, goal setting worksheet with example, journal pages, presentation requirements, and a scoring guide as well as a listening accountability activity during presentations. This has been a great way for students to synthesize their understanding and apply their understanding to life.
*note: since this chapter does deal with drugs, please caution your students in divulging any information about their personal habits. As always, caution them against the dangers of drug use in their lives and on their bodies.
