Product Description
The following project is a Joker character analysis for Psychology.

The goal is for students to connect the 6 grand theories of Psychology to the Joker to explain his behavior. The 6 theories used are Psychoanalytic, Behavioral, Humanistic, Cognitive, Biological/Evolutionary, and Sociocultural (ecological). You can easily modify the project to different theories and/or remove as you see fit. The students are to find the thinkers associated with the theories, write the main ideas of the theories in their own words, and than connect the theories to The Joker to explain why he acts the way he does.

I will typically have students choose 3 out of the 6 to do.

I highly recommend pairing this project with The Dark Knight movie. I show it beforehand.

The project contains origin information on the Joker and a quote from The Killing Joke detailing the Joker's mindset as well as the questions and mark distribution.

(If you are in Canada it meets curricular outcomes for Psychology 20)
