I sent a parent letter home for permission before starting the lesson. Included in the zip folder is a handout containing the rules and expectations for the lesson. Students read over and sign the paper and may add extra rules. I was very firm and consistent when teaching the lesson. Any child who broke the rule had to follow the consequences stated. I pulled out the sheet as a reminder that they had promised to follow the rules. As you can imagine, after a couple hiccups, the class went smoothly, making it so easy to discuss this very important topic!
I have also uploaded the powerpoint only version separately as I used an online powerpoint source as the base (but have added my own additional information and images).
This bundle includes:
1. Health Ed. Rules (student signature)
2. 3 worksheets, 1 for each day
3. 3 powerpoint slides, covering each topic in detail
Slideshows Day 2 and Day 3 have images of the female and male anatomy, but everything is kept grade-appropriate. If my 4th graders can sit through the lesson, so can your upper grade kids!
We also watched a YouTube video from Always after each lesson and had a discussion covering any topic related to the lesson taught that day.
