Summative Assessment How We Express Ourselves Rubric
We may not always agree with other people, but how we express ourselves and the beliefs that we have, help us learn how to be better citizens globally and locally. Looking closer at Public Issues and Taking Positions and supporting our ideas, we are beginning to think as IB citizens by expressing our ideas, feelings, nature, culture, beliefs, and values by extending and enjoying our creativity into position papers and orally presenting our topics as an appreciation of the aesthetic.
The word aesthetic means having a sense of beauty and being able to share that in writing, as well as orally. This position paper takes you through a real life problem that is happening in the world around us and allows you to take a closer look and emotionally support using details and feelings the beauty in nature that could dangerously be destroyed. Often I read the Kapok Tree with this unit, but many other books can tie into the topic
