This task is good talking about transport on the whole or types of public transport, or even for making comparisons. In the first task students have to mark advantages and disadvantages of different types of transport in a big city presented in the video. In the second part they do some vocabulary work (students ar given certain words/phrases and have to find their equivalents in the video). The goal of the task is not to prove/deny what's being said in the video as it is based on one person's experience. It aims to check students' listening skills and ability to comprehend and interpret different meanings of the words. I used it with intermediate students, but I think it could be used with high pre-intermediate students as well. The teacher can make changes if necessary.
